Yoga

“The word ‘yoga’ means ‘union.’ Union means you begin to experience the universality of who you are. For example, today, modern science proves to you beyond any doubt that the whole existence is just one energy manifesting itself in various forms. If this scientific fact becomes a living reality for you – that you begin to experience everything as one – then you are in yoga. When you are in yoga, you experience everything as a part of yourself.

Yoga is a group of physical, Mental, and  Spiritual, practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India There is a broad variety of yoga schools, practices, and goals. The origins of yoga have been speculated to date back to pre-Vedic Indian traditions

Yoga gurus from India later introduced yoga to the west following the success of  Swami Vivekananda in the late 19th and early 20th century In the 1980s, yoga became popular as a system of physical exercise across the Western world. Yoga in Indian traditions, however, is more than physical exercise, it has a meditative and spiritual core.  Many studies have tried to determine the effectiveness of yoga as a complementary intervention for cancer, schizophrenia, asthma and heart disease. The results of these studies have been mixed and inconclusive, with cancer studies suggesting none to unclear effectiveness, and others suggesting yoga may reduce risk factors and aid in a patient’s psychological healing process

“Yoga is not just about living better. It is about exploring the very source of life.”

Meditation

Meditation

Meditation is food for the soul it nourishes the universal values of compassion, caring and sharing, responsibility, non violence and peacefulness. It helps us bond with others. These are important values to guide us and make us accept all of the mankind

Humankind has an innate tendency to look for a joy that does not diminish, and meditation fulfills this important need. Even when everything is going fine for us we often find ourselves being restless. Meditation can relax our stress consciously and unconscious and give us the sense of comfort and stability that every human being craves.

It helps us meet life’s ups and downs with centeredness,  Confidence and resourcefulness. Importantly, it gives us resilience so that we can not only can we remain unshaken by storms of emotions that come in everyone’s lives, but also get back on track sooner.

With the hectic schedule and demands of modern life, many people feel stressed and over-worked. It often feels like there is just not enough time in the day to get everything done. Our stress and tiredness make us unhappy, impatient and frustrated. It can even affect our health. We are often so busy we feel there is no time to stop and meditate! But meditation actually gives you more time by making your mind calmer and more focused. A simple 10 or  15-minute breathing meditation can help you to overcome your stress and find some inner peace and balance.

Meditation can also help us to understand our own mind. We can learn how to transform our mind from negative to positive, from disturbed to peaceful, from unhappy to happy.
